How to use

Quick Start

First, choose the language mode:
Language mode defines which side of the card is shown first: left flag starts with Ukrainian, right flag starts with the target language.
Then choose a category with the list wheel.
Set the amount with the number wheel (default is 5).
Press Generate to generate cards.
You can also tap the “Press Generate to generate words” placeholder in the cards area to start generation.
Tap a card to flip the translation.

— adds/removes a pair from favorites.
— marks a word as “know”. These words appear less often. Press again to clear.
— marks a word as “repeat”. These words appear more often. Press again to clear.
Know and Repeat are mutually exclusive: enabling one disables the other.
— speaks the currently visible word on the card.

Favorites5, Know7 and Repeat3 are list-filter buttons.
Only one filter can be active at a time. Press another filter to switch instantly, or press the active one to disable.
Know and Repeat filters show words only from the current category; Favorites works across all categories in this language pair.
Know/Repeat chip numbers are counted for the current category, while Favorites is counted for the whole language pair.
The thin progress bar shows Know progress in the current category: known words / total words in category.
Reset in this block clears Know/Repeat marks and their frequency indexes for the current list only; Favorites and theme are preserved.

Tip: you can switch between filters directly without disabling the current one first.

When you first set Know or Repeat, the word starts with index 1.
If the same mark stays on and the word appears again in normal generation, its index increases.
Know: higher index means the word appears less often. Repeat: higher index means the word appears more often.
If you remove the mark, the word returns to base level. A new mark starts the cycle from index 1 again.
Opening Know/Repeat filter lists does not increase index; index changes only in normal generation.
Favorites do not affect frequency.
Indexes are kept after app updates and cache updates, and reset only with Reset.

This behavior is inspired by the Ebbinghaus forgetting curve: hard words come back sooner, familiar words appear less often.
